Newbie Mod Question

I havent been able to find any documentation on how to load mods nor have I been able to find this 'mod loader' I read of on some of the web pages. Can anyone be patient enough to help me on this

Download the mod, open it (if a zip) and read the readme.txt. In the case of the TDM or other exe mods, just install it.

Change the path.txt to be the same as the directory of the mod you want to play; the path.txt for Proportions reads:

The Unofficial Space Empires 4 Mod Utility V2.0 <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I dunno, being included in the Extras folder on the Gold CD seems pretty "official" to me.

If you have SE4 Gold, look in the "Extras" folder of the CD, you'll find the mod launcher
(name is "ModLaunchingProgram.zip").
Put the exe in your SE4 main folder, and put a link to it on your desktop ! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

As for mods, install each of them in his own folder (dezip with "creatre subfolders" ON).
Then the launcher will allow you to choose between each mod http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
