Do the engine destroying weapons skip shields, or do the shields of a ship need to be cancled out first?

Right now they skip shields, as of the next patch they won't.

Any other major changes in the next patch? This kind of change could really affect the balance of a lot of current MP gold games if they upgrade.

Partial damage is not tracked.
So the weapon is best sized in multiples of 20.

Also, you can't fleet with bases to get resupplied.
