The text disappearing could be down to the text files in the various mod directories being missing. Have you been deleting / restoring / renaming / altering files?
Is the SEIV unmodded text still there and just the mod text missing, or is it all text?

I've been moving files to the recycle bin and back, but I don't think that is the cause of the problem. And no, even the text for standard non-modded game wasn't there.
Links on this forum aren't really clear. In case you missed it in my Last post, CLICK HERE (http://www.members.optushome.com.au/cedricw1/problem.jpg) for a screen shot of the mod launcher on my computer.

Problem! (http://www.members.optushome.com.au/cedricw1/problem.jpg)
Look at this. Can anybody tell me what's gone wrong? The mod launcher was not working yesterday but all the text was there. Tonight it IS working but all the text is gone... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/confused.gif
By the way, is the font used in SEIV available anywhere?

My mod launcher has hiccupped to.
It can find my PBW savegame, but not the race files. I guess tomorrow I will delete and reload it.

The text has mysteriously reappeared today, but now the modpicker fails to work again. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif Pressing on the "Play SEIV" button does absolutely nothing.

Mine has done that, too, but usually after RCEs close SEIV down prematurely. My (non-Windows-aware) guess is that the font file gets tied up somehow in SEIV, and never gets released if it doesn't close correctly. I've also had the same problem after non-SEIV-related Windoze problems.

This suggestion is probably too late, but before you try the uninstall/reinstall option, try rebooting your system. That will clear your RAM of any junk that the errant program generated.
I've got a couple games that won't run properly if I don't reboot before launching them.
