I've always felt the Borg needed a pyramid shape ship to go with the UPN ball, triangle, and square

Triangle? Square?
In 3D terms, those are Pyramids and Cubes...

As with the old images, the designs are believable, the textures are excellent, but the ship classes are completely inconsistent! How do we recognize what a ship is on the system screen or in combat when a 'pyramid' can be either a small transport or a light carrier, a sphere can be either a starbase, a large transport, or an escort (in fact, the large transport and escort images are plainly the same image at different scales), and a colony ship is indistinguishable from a cruiser? It might look good to you 'esthetically' but for practical use in playing the game this shipset is a mess. Each class needs to have easily noticable common themes. With the Borg that means all of a class share one major geometric shape. Cubes are already established as standard warships, so after that you have some license. But whatever you decide it, needs to be consistent.

Good looking set, however, battleship and space station are too dark to discern from black background. In game that would be as good as a cloak that can't be scanned.

I lighten the two images to make them more visable. However in doing this, they loose some quality.

Most of the MINI images are exactally the same as the portraits just smaller.

The color of the ships is a good indicator as to what they are. One of the reasons I wanted to revamp the set was to avoid duplicate ships in use. If you want too, you can take all available Borg images and make your own set and post it.

I want a set that I would enjoy playing, aside from the dark issues, I enjoy the look of this set.

I thought it looked like a Gould ship at first. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Put a duplicit of the Heavy Carrier as the Frigate (I saw it in the manule for Star Trek, Armada 2).
