I just installed most of the atrocities star trek races. I would like them all to be computer controlled in a tcp/ip game between my buddy and I. Do i have to add them each manually game? Is there a file/directory to let my machine now I only want to play against these races? They wont appear in the game except on a very infrequent basis...
Thanks!

The game will choose random empires to fulfill the requirement as stated in settings.txt. If you only want to play against these races, there are two ways to do it. One, as you said, add them manually and set them to computer control. Two, create a seperate directory under your SEIV directory called whatever(StarTrek?) and put the races there, then open the path.txt file and change "none" to what you named the directory you created in the previous step. Alternately, you could use the mod launcher that came on the CD instead of messing with the path.txt file.

If you use a mod folder, you need to copy the default Data folder into it too.

Also...
If adding races manually and setting to computer control be sure to turn OFF the "computer generates random empires" option...otherwise...like you say...you will end up with a universe populated mostly by googling Phong.
