Capture/trade bug

If I trade for an ally's ship, it doesn't show up in the Enemy Ship Designs window... don't know about capturing...

AFAIK, nothing ever shows up under Enemy Designs that hasn't been in combat against you or someone you have a Partnership with.

This is more of a design decision than a bug.
