Some time ago I made a stupid mistake - I installed Proportions mod over default SEIV files.
No big deal, I don't play unmodded SE IV anyway.
But with the new patch coming I wonder what will happen when I install it. Will patch restore all data files back to standard SE IV or left me with some horrable mess ?

I have Proportions backup and do not care about any loss of data but really worry if patched SEIV will even load.

What would happen if fo example I coppy data from TDM-mod pack into default folders ? Will it restore original setup and solve my problem ?

Hmmm... this is why you never overwrite the default files...

My advice is to move all your mods to their own mod folders, then re-install (without uninstalling first) the game from the CD. Then patch it. Then use the mod-picker to pick your mods, instead of overwriting the default files. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

you should be okay installing the patch and then re-installing proportions back to wherever it is now, except that proportions isn't yet Patch2 compatible. Assuming that the new patch is incompatible with old mods, that is.
