anyone know where one might find new sounds for SEIV? particularly weapons sounds?

someone made a sound mod ages ago, and it used to be in the forum file section. i dont know if it ever made the transition to the new files section, but you might search for it there. i seem to remember that the point defense guns sounded cool.

Yeah, Tampa_Gamer saved and then improved on a sound MOD by Tenyru and it is in the sound mod forum.

I guess to clarify my question: Are there any internet sources for Sci-fi and/or weapons effects sounds?

Seeing the questions gave me an idea:
Imagine if a dedicated and skilled player could generate sound files with words to replace the various "bLaster and explosion" sounds.
Examples
Mini Explosion - Take That!
Big Explosion - Buh Bye
Various Beams - Eat Hot Death
Seaker Launch - Go Getem Boys

The other idea is to take sounds from Windows "Themes" and quotes from "Bart Simpson" "South Park"
