Hello,
Thank you for contacting the Lycos Network Abuse Department.
Because our Lycos Network free homepage services are in high demand, we
often have to remove inactive memberships from our servers to make room
for new members.
If you have not logged in to update your Angelfire or Tripod homepage
account within the past year, and your site has received less that 15
page views within the past 90 days, it is likely that your files have
been removed because your account met our criteria for inactivity.
Please note that these files have been removed permanently and
therefore, we'll be unable to restore them. However, your member name
and password for the account have been left intact. Should you decide
you would like to continue using our services, we welcome you to do so.
We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
Sincerely,<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">The complaints started the ball rolling, and when they discovered I was not a paying customer, they opted to just kill the site. Plain and simple, it came down to money.
