If I can open a wormhole to a star 500 ly away, how far is that?
Is a grid on the big map 1 Ly?

And you thought it was a long way to the shops at the end of the street...

The following are the calibrations I work with:
Level 1 warp opener reaches almost nowhere on a sparse map, maybe a close neigboring system, you know, if adjacent systems lost their warp point.
Level 2 is better, maybe the first one that's worth while. But then, isn't that the case with every tech in SE4?
Level 5 goes almost halfway across the map, but by then, you have so many resources you could build 2 or more in your fleet and be practically anywhere in no time.
