custom ship names file

I've created a new race and in the ship design screen, the name drop down list box is empty.
I read somewhere that you can customize that with a text file, any info about that ?

When you create the race you have to select a design name file otherwise you get what you see here. You can also get the same thing if you select a design name file, but that file later gets deleted or renamed, or if you use that empire file to play a game on another pc that does not have that design name file. If you already started the game and you did not select a design name file you can't fix it during the game.

Under the main SEIV directory is a subdirectory where you'll find pre-existing *.txt files such as "animals.txt" and "insects.txt" (for example). Just create your new text file and save it in this directory.

Geoschmo<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Geoschmo, in my fooling around learning all of the AI, I noticed that you can go into the General AI file and designate the design name text file to whatever you want to. Is it possible once you do start a game to go into that file and change the name of the file you want to use?
