A while back I posted about my attempts to get Pirate Civilian Freighters equiped with boarding parties to attack in strategic combat mode. I was unable to do this and assumed it had something to do with the ships built in cloak ability. Is this right or do I have some setting wrong?

All you need to do is put the C&C, the swashbucklers and 4 engines on the ships. Give it capture ships orders, and make sure the enemies don't have shields, or will have their shields depleted by a warship.

However, tactical combat is encouraged when playing as a Pirate. In fact, cheap tricks are all encouraged, to help you survive against the AI.

Hmm I pretty sure I had all that in there and in Strategic combat the ship did not move toward the enemy. The ememy did not have shields. I was playing strategic combat because I was practicing for a multi game.

< edit > OK Weird seems to be working now. Althouhg I'd swear I was doing things the same the first time I tried
