I've got a PBW game going and the pictures of the races continue to switch. Example: My friend has chosen the B5 EA race and his picture in the login screen continues to switch from race. Also the neutral races seem to switch their picture every time I log in.
I've encountered 2 races sofar and one of them strangely enough stays with the same shipset. I really don't understand what is going on here. Maybe you guys have some ideas?

GT: Haha... jij en je nieuwe haring. Misschien kun je dit ontcijferen. Zo ja, dan heb je door dat je geen oplossing hebt gegeven, maar dat is niet echt erg. Ik ben het nu wel van je gewent.
Pablo: No, I've installed all the shipsets nescesary. It's a game with 2 humans and the rest is computer. It's really strange. Funny, but strange.

Are you sure you put the race folder in the correct mod folder? What you describe is typical if the game can't find the race folder and it picks then one at random.

I've got 3 Versions of SE installed.
1) SE IV (regular), with mods and loads of stuff.
2) SE IV (Regular), without mods and stuff, just for PBW.
3) SE IV: Gold, with mod and loads of stuff.
I only use the PBW Version for multiplaying. The other two are only in use for hotseat games. I also play Star Wars PBW and the races there behave normal. It's really strange. I'll just check the races folder and report back here. Thanks for the thought.

As long as you don't change the default data folder, you don't really need a separate install of SE4 for PBW. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Well I tried doing that, but it gave errors when I tried to contact the internet, so I found it much easier to just install it again. It's works fine now, except for that strange error. Well, at least it doesn't bother me too much.

Check for the shipsets other players are using. Maybe somebody used a shipset in the creation of their empire but did not upload it for others to download. Ask about it in the game forum.

The only reason why SE:IV would display a different shipset on each load is that it cannot find the shipset specified for that empire. You may want to double check each empire file and then the specified shipset and double check to make sure you have the right one.
Also, there are several different EA Ship sets that use different names for their race folders...perhaps this is the problem?

Yes, that Last series of post here made me understand. I'll ask the host of the game wich races he has installed on his computer.
Yes, that's it, he missing some sets. Thanks everyone!
