One of my most successful Crew Insurrections was against the Cua Cappa. The randomly chosen ship was in a fleet of about 10 other ships.
The following sequance took place:
Target ship “Insurrects” and successfully subverts another ship that successfully subverts another ship successfully subverts another ship that fails to “Insurrect” any others.
At that point all *ell breaks loose at short range. The four newly independent ships attack the remaining 6 or so.
So depending on how you look at it
Gryphin 0 ships lost
Cua Cappa > 8 ships lost.
My point is: If you play against humans with this you must have sufficient Counter Intel to avoid a similar Domino effect.

PS: These days I only use Counter Intel against the AI as I found I could decimate fleets with Crew Insurrections, (but is was fun). http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

PPS: Posted here to avoid OT in the “weapons not firing” thread.

Heh, yeah AS cascades are fun. Think of it as a natural counter to one of the most powerful weapons in the game.
