View Full Version : Spot Open in Star Trek: Final Frontier

Alas, Atrocities has had to withdraw from the game for RL reasons and his spot (The Dominion) is open. We are at turn 66, things are just getting interesting, and I am unaware of his position. Based on the ingame correspondance, I believe he was doing well. Hurry and grab this one as too many turns of non-production can hurt (we are playing with the "no AI mod")

Bumping this one back up because we had another withdrawal from the game. The Cardassians are now looking for a new leader. They are in 8th place, but still a very playable (and still winnable) position. If interested, head on over and sign up.

Yeah really. This stinks how everyone keeps dropping out. I understand RL gets to ya but still.... Join now before it's not too late to bring the empire back.

The Cardassian Union needs YOU. That's right, YOU, the one over there who likes to do things his own way, the one who uses trickery to overcome defeat, the one who's afraid of nothing and will stop at nothing to gain a victory. Time is running out on these poor leaderless people. Step into that role and command an Empire worthy of your rule!

Whats that drone bug the game rules talk about?
Fyron
October 19th, 2002, 10:46 PM
IIRC, it was the fact that larger drones could sweep an entire minefield, because they could have more than 300 hitpoints. Since mine warheads didn't stack in 1.67 (when the game was started), 1 drone with 301 total hit points would detonate all the mines and take no damage.

We have had another player drop out of this great game. Pity, Pity! The Q Continium is now available for anyone who wishes to be omnipotent! Are you a GOD?

About people dropping:
Atrocities dropped because he was in the hospital for over a week, unexpected admittance for stomach pain did not give him a chance to make game arrangements. He went in, and they admitted him. Then he spent the week in ICU.
I dropped because my job now has me out of town five or six days a week.
I think the game was going great, and really hated to drop. I hope that the game continues to run and that someone beats the **** out of the Borg for me. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Gravey, I will see your fleet in shambles, your home planet in flames, and your (game) head sliced and on a pike before I ever quit this game.
Assimilate this. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

I found the Borg to be good neigbors. They only attacked one of my small fleets of monitoring ships when Gravey missed a few turns. Past that, they were a good neighbor when I was playing.
Thanks Mephisto for taking over the Dominion, sorry I left it in ruin. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

Why does everyone keep worrying about the Borg when it's those nasty Breen fellows everyone should be keeping an eye on. Just ask the Federation.

The Q Continium is still open for anyone who wishes to play the role of omnipotence. I understand that they are still very viable.

You know, the Q Continium has a whole corner of the galaxy all to themselves, they are high on intel, and therefor could be alot of fun to play. Isn't anyone interested?

Attacked you you say... ?
We have heard, and seen, the story differently.
But it matters little, they are but a buffer between our empires.
We shall meet soon enough.
The Borg.

Yes, they tried to attack us. They declared war, when we had a trade treaty. Vile, miserable wretches, those hu-mons.
Do you Borg too wish to be ground beneath our boot? Keep up this insolence, and it may well happen.

Maybe. Maybe not. Arrogance is wide-spread in this particular galaxy it would appear. So, maybe there will be many downfalls ?

And 1 uplift. When someone falls, someone else must have risen.
Breen are rather arrogant, so RPing them as arrogant seems perfectly fine to me.

and a fine job you are doing too sir !
I'm not sure how to role-play the Borg. Other than to attack everyone and threaten assimilation at every oppportunity.
I figure if everyone hates me I am doing a good job :-)
