View Full Version : Possible Ringworld Bug?

I admit, I feel like an idiot right now, but I can't seem to build a ringworld anymore.

I picked an empty solar system (except for some asteroid fields), built the bases containing the required cabling and plating (according to the generator, 5 of each type should suffice), built the generator in a separate base and issued the command to create a ringworld.

Nothing happened. "Required Materials are not present".

I built more cable and plating. Right now, there are 20! bases of each type there, totalling in 41 bases. I still get the "Required Materials are not present" error. Each bases consists of a Master Computer and the component. Nothing more.

How many more do you need? Or did the game require the bases to be in one fleet, which is no longer possible?

Please help me.

You have to build them in the same sector as a star.

Mea Culpa...just forget what I said, I found the error.

And now, after making a complete idiot of myself, I feel inclined to jump out of an airlock.

Man, I feel dumb.

Same goes for the self destruct device. It says it overloads the engines to destroy a ship. So a newbie knocks out the engines and tries to board. Ship go boom. Newbie sad. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">And engineers forget to mention that there are extra packs of Antimatter to the enemy why? Can anybody figure this one out? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif
