So I lose most of my production worlds in one small map game, and I get large resource losses per turn (I still have a relatively large fleet). I get a message about my satellites being scrapped due to a lack of resources to maintain them. How is this possible when satellites do not require maintenance? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/confused.gif I can understand the issue where Aaron may not want an empire that has significant losses to be able to maintain 1000s of satellites, while losing all their ships, but I only had like 10 satellites! Seems buggy to me...

Yeah, it's just a random abandoning. It seems illogical to have units be abandoning for lack of maintenance, but I don't think it's the worst bug I ever saw. It's just they way the random abandoning happens.
Fact is, abandoning units doesnt reduce your maintenance like a abandoning a ship. It's probably a low priority on bug. If you're relying on a random abandonment to save maintenance costs. You've lost.
It's funny when I play Geo's Voyager scenario. I always run out of resources, and it either scraps my only ship --Voyager or one of the resource sattelite Groups. Either way, I lose.
