When can we expect the next patch to come out? I'm really eager to try out my first game using the Temporal tech tree, but darn it, the quad damage bug makes it kinda lopsided http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

--Raynfala<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">You could always make a second install, and patch that copy to 1.67 instead of 1.78. The TDB bug isn't in 1.67.

1.78 also fixes a lot of things. I don't feel good reversing to patch1.

So, any (un)official date of patch public release ?

A watched pot never boils!

I believe that Mr. Data has conducted some experiments with boiling pots, and his conclusion was that a watched pot takes exactly the same time to boil as a pot that isn't watched.

Ah, but that's only if he was utilizing his internal chronometer.

*slaps forehead* Oh my god! I'm a trekkie!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

<insert the sound of a body splattering against the bottom of the cliff that dumbluck just dove off of>

Then someone told him to turn it off, and he looked surprised when the thing boiled during the fadeout?

There is also at least one mod out there that deals with the TDB bug somewhat. You could go with one of those and then convert to the new patch when it's available.

dumbluck,
Since I'm sure you use Atrocites ship sets you can't be a *true* trekker

Zero air pressure, and it boils instantly. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif No watching involved.

It also depends on how many people are standing around watching it. You know, our breath is warm... so the more people the faster it will warm up. No? Oh... Ok... I just had to get my strange answer in here somehow... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

Until there is an observation made, the pot is neither boiling nor not boiling; it is in an indeterminate state in which there is a probability distribution of boiling/not-boiling possibilities. The instant someone looks at it, one of the possible states becomes the actual state, and the other probabilites fall away.

I have to get my strange answer in here, too. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">The strangest thing is that the strangest answer (Kamog) is probably the true one.

Unless you're in the Cantina, anyway, in which case cartoon physics apply.

If a pot boils in the kitchen and nobody hears it did it make any noise?
