I want world peace. A faster computer, and..
As for another game? why? SE is so deep and wide it is always a new game.
SJ,
Just a long shot.
Are there any "upgradable bios" on your system?
Some years ago there were viruses that could hide in an updatable chip.
The most common was on video and network cards.
Install new hard drive and Poof, they reinfect it.

Heres a thought, SE5 goes massive multiplayer. You've got legions of homeworld2 or some other space combat simulator waiting around for fleet battles between empires. So we've got the big picture guys and the fleet admirals. And then people load up Halo or Half-life or Hitman 2 for some covert ops actions and of course some good Real time strategy game for killing planets. Not sure bout logistics though.
As for my list of games...
Halo (with XBox)
GTA3
Simcity 4000 (after looking site)

Tried Strange adventures in infinite space, fun but over in 5-15 minutes, no point to it really, play it three times and then you've done it, no replayability.
I want SE5, but I don't really need it as SE4G is really good. MOO3 though would be great to get.

BTW, I hear there's going to be some sort of MMO Version of Cosmic Encounter... wonder how that'll work out? "I'm the Vulch, I get to steal those Last 15 artifact cards that everyone else played this turn!" "No, I'm the Damper, you only get to take half of them!" "But wait! *I'M* the Freemic Discombobulator, everyone has to roll 10d6 and if it's odd then they take as many ships out of warp as the Vulch gets cards, and if they roll odd they have to put that many ships in!" http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif (Wish when I got the game that I got the real Version, not the watered-down back-to-basics pLastic-ships-that-barely-fit-in-their-carriers Avalon Hill Version though... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif )

For a WW2 game you could try the venerable WiF (world in flames). Great, and by great i mean really fun and also really umm big. And by big i mean a learning curve that looks like a rocket launching heading towards Alpha Centauri. I own it and haven't gotten beyond a few basic scenarios with a few super smart friends.
However, the possibilites are endless and adg (australian design group) has a beta of the nearly complete computer Version. That i'm buying the moment it hits shelves. Add that to my list.

I don't really want a new game at this time. I want model of the NX-01 Enterprise to put together. I told my wife about it and she said "I called around and checked on the web and they aren't in production yet." Don't know if she is telling the truth or just setting up for x-mass day. I think she is just tired of me and our oldest daughter playing with toys. Hay, what can I say but that they are only kids once and this is the only chance I have to be their play partner. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif I love them too much to let this chance go. It seems to me the best gift is cash or at least a gift certificate at a place you know the person likes to shop. That way you know the person will get exacly what he or she wants and you don't buy them they tie that they only wear when you're around.

If only we had Speer to run our military industrial complex. but to the topic at hand, and without ranting on why i dislike scheduled gift giving events, here are some of the titles I plan on picking up:
available now:
Neverwinter Nights
Mafia
BCT and ATF from everyones favorite Online publisher
available after xmas:
MOO3 (early Jan they say)
X2 (sequel to X: beyond the fronter. X2 should be what Elite was then, for the ultra-modern gamer today)
Freelancer (microsnot's remake of Privateer. blatant more-of-the-same-ism in an under-done genre. looks like fun.)
I also think the new Battlecruiser games look neat (3000ad.com) but since (1) the first two fell down. (2) they have a dozen games that do the same thing, and the newer ones claim to have more features. (3) Dr. Smart is an ego centric jackass and he rubs me the wrong way. I am compelled to either (2) wait for a later release, or (1&3) just not buy it.
there is also a pretty spiff space tactical game (more ship-on-ship), i think it might have been IG3, or something like that. i dont know if its out, or much about it.

Battlefront.com and Fury Software have recently put out Strategic Command: European Theater - a game of grand strategy like 3rd Reich. William R.
