Drones can't move in space?

Baffled again...

Created a med drone with the following:
1 Comp core
3 Quantum III engines
1 Combat sensors III
1 Nul-space projector III
2 Solar collector III

Launched it... but it does not give me a move to icon. In the unit detail box it reports a movement of 8/8 and supplies of 1500/1500.

Am I leaving something obvious out here? Somebody please slap me!

Drones do not have move-to orders; they currently can only be used to "Attack" visible targets. As of the next patch, they will be able to explore or warp by "Attacking" a warp point. This is a design decision, and a hotly-debated one at that.

You can give it a target order to any alien location, even an allied one (which it will follow, and not attack unless the treaty is broken).
