Ok, well I am going to try modding my own AI for stock SEIVG.
I am just now getting ready so start. So nothing has been done so far.
My question is this: Where do I start? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif More specifically, do I edit all the AI files to what I want and then make the EMP file? Or make the EMP file first and then mod the files?
The rest I am sure I can figure out. If not I will ask for help. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

There wouldn't happen to be a AI modding tutorial anywhere would there? Sort of like Fyrons modding tutorial only with AI files?
I don't think there is but I wasn't sure if there was from before I have been around.

The method which I use when creating an AI file is to first make an .emp for each racial point setting(2k, 3k, 5k) file using the settings therein in the ai_settings.txt file and then play the game modifying a stock AI set's politics, construction, deisgn, atc. files as I play the game through.

The EMP file has no affect on everything else. You can make the EMP file whenever you want, or not at all. It's just used to add the race manually later on.

Alright, thanks for the answers.
I am doing this just for the fun and experimentation of it all. I want to see what I can make the AI do in a game. It probably won't be the best but I can slowly upgrade it. (Hopefully http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif )

It will take some time I am sure as I will not be working on it whenever I am at the computer. Just spare time fun really.

There is so much to say about modding the AI, I would guess the first 6 month of this forum are just dedicated to this. Try a search in the old Posts, pretty much all the things posted there are still valid.
