When I start a new game, I've got several windows like that :

I use 1.78 gold, with some custom shipsets
Any idea ?

That means you are using pre-gold AIs. You will need to add those lines to the mentioned AI files to get them to work. Copy them from the default AI files.

You were right. I got these races recently on PBW server, but it seems it is old files.
I had to make the changes in settings.txt in some races. For info, the races concerned are :
addisian
Darlok (also an error an "politcal savy" in general.txt file)
Seorfleet
Starwolf
Vaxin
also add "Percentage of Fleets to use for defense := 70" line in fleet.txt for all these races.
These races should be updated on the PBW server.
PBW gamers, beware...

There are newer Versions on Shrapnel of some of those races. Darloks changed to Drakol to avoid copyright issues for TDM on the Gold CD.

Corrent me if i am wrong, but in the original movie "the time machine" the "race" that lived underground were the darloks. can't remember the sun side race, democrat maybe. lol

The Darloks were taken from MOO2.
Maybe you are thinking of Morlocks?

You know Stephen Baxter wrote a sort of sequel to "The Time Machine" called "The Time Ships"? Read it, it's pretty interesting!

There are complete instructions for converting pre-Gold AIs linked in my sig.
There are a couple files that need changes that don't generate errors immediately; I've revised the instructions at least once to account for those.
