OK, if this is in the FAQ I missed it:

I have a LARGE fleet protecting a Star destroyer (stellar manip comp that blws up whole system - forget name this second).

I do not want to lose my whole fleet when it detonatges. If I set the stellar manip to blow, and run my fleet for the nearest warp point (minus the Star destroyer of course) - will it beat the explosion out of the system?

If not, how can I do this?

I have heard that stellar manipulations take place on day 10. The best solution would be to set up a test game to test this out, and then post your results here. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

In the order of battle stellar manipulation happens first.

Some exceptions are for instance you can move an opener then open a warp point so you can time that. But for a star destroyer if you move then destroy it will delay a turn. If you needed to destroy a system you probably wouldn't want to delay.
