View Full Version : ship set change?

I am hosting a game in which a player chose the same ship set as one of the A.I. races. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif This is leading to confusion!
1) Is there some way the player can change his ship set?
2) If not, is there some way the other players can make his ships appear with a different shipset?
3) If not, is there some way to tell whether a particular ship is his or not?
Many thanks in advance!
Merry

Any way to tell this player apart from the real Dra'Kol?
Thanks,
Merry<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">No. Sorry. Maybe they'll use different ship names, but they can copy the AI and you won't know until its too late.
If someone makes a unique shipset that's hard to see, you can change your copy. But SE4 is using the same folder for both empires.
My solution when this happend on PBW:
exterminate both races http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif
Of course, the only thing that accomplished was my own destruction. Heh.

There is a way, although is a crude method.
If you remove the involved shipset from your system, both races will be assigned random an most likely different shipsets everytime you load the game.

EDIT: solution I gave won't work if they are the same. Duh.
