As the launch/recover button is absent, what shall I do if I have, let's say 20 mines in a planet cargo and I want to launch only 10 ? (without using a mine layer of course !)

Same pb with fighters, satellites...

Other issue (i think the answer is "it's impossible, don't think of it")

Is there a way to do multiple actions in a simultaneous turn. For example, grab fighters from three planets with a carrier in a single turn ?

Check the order que and voila.

There it is:
Move to x1,y1.
Load fighters
Move to x2,y2
Load fighters
Move to x3,y3
Load fighters.

Also, if the amount of units in cargo exceeds the total amount you can launch in one turn, the computer decides which ones get launched and which ones stay aboard according to it's own infernal logic.

Short of a hardcode change from Malfador, there is nothing we can do about either of these things http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

There is a tedious trick to this...

Instead of one ship...

Bring two ships with cargo capacity. Transfer the exact amount you wish to launch, then use "Launch Units Remotely."

{Ahem} Works for dropping one spy satellite in a system {ahem} http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
