Here is a new Krill AI. I like it. I like it a lot. It is designed for low-tech, one planet start. You must give AI at least low bonus or it will choke at one specific point in Construction_Vehicles.txt file. If you run into Krill Main Fleet after turn 50, you will see what do I mean...

I did't check this AI in late game and would appreciate any comments.

oleg, would you email me about what they are doing wrong without a bonus?

I'd be very interested in it if it didnt choke without the bonus. My group is playing TCP/IP and we want the AI players there, but not overly competitive...ie, the Human players are the Major Races and the AI players amount to a bunch of minor powers. So, we dont play with low bonus.

Please let me know if/when its possible to use it without the bonus.

I'd also be very interested in testing out any other AI scripts for Proportions. I have added in a lot of other ship sets to my set and they have no Proportions AIs so they are just using the stock scripts.

Thanx,

Talenn

Oleg told me it wasn't entirely fatal - it just has a bit of difficulty at a certain point. From what he said, I think it wouldn't be a big problem and would be good to include for the variety, even in no-bonus games.

For using other ship-sets, you might want to specifically choose them when you set up a game, and specify to use one of the generic styles (aggressive/neutral/defensive) instead of the race style.

Yes, it will work without bonuses but it won't a killer I want to create http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

PvK:

Are the Aggressive/Neutral/Defensive AI scripts updated for Proportions? I thought I remembered looking at them and thinking that they were pretty generic and not making use of Proportions changes.

Thanx for the great mod by the way. The pacing wasnt exactly my cup of tea, but I used it as a basis for my own mod/tweaks and I'm REALLY enjoy a lot of the aspects that you have added.

Yes, the generic Aggressive/Neutral/Defensive AI's are adjusted in Proportions, and should work OK. They're not particularly interesting, but they should be able to deal with the mod much better than any unmodded AI would.
