Race is in good condition (he was beating my butt when he withdrew). Game is RP, year is 2405.0, and I have opened the forum so you can read some of the roleplaying that has happened thus far.

After reading One Eyed Jack's post for leaving the game, I thought 'Geez, I should have traded colony techs and citizens like everyone else did.'

Perhaps next time eh?

Come now people, I am sure that someone would like to take over a first place empire that is dominating an entire galaxy!

One of you "so called" players out there really should take this opportunity.

While I regretfully lack the time to keep up right now, note that I had to leave when the empire in question was nearing the "sweet spot" with talismans and upcoming cruisers backed with an intel, research, and resource, edge on the others. I only trailed in base construction.

Think of this as a golden opportunity to take out "all" of your life frustrations on well known players like Gandalph, Ekolis, Georgig, Tescosamoa, and Geoschmo.

It rarely gets better than this folks........ or am I going to be left wondering when Shrapnel let its forums be filled with a bunch of unmotivated "pansy" players who have to be beaten with sticks to actually play the game they all just "talk" about ?

That schpiel just makes me not want to take over the spot. Well, that, and the empire uses that stupid Religious trait. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

That is all right Fyron. Not every player is good enough to handle a massive empire at galaxy center with the religious trait. I am sure we can all respect you for admitting your lack of skill and play experience with said tech.

It is a fun game I regret needing to leave.

Maybe somebody with the cajones and an interest in a good game and a great opening will step up. So far it is a crying shame.

Is this some pathetic attempt to make me feel a need to prove myself to you by taking over the empire slot? That is all it seems to be to me. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

Fyron...... Pathetic?

Frankly I do not know you.... or much about you aside from seeing threads where you claim religous is unfair repeatedly for a variety of reasons about which I do not currently care. After a while it makes one wonder if it is something you just do not deal with well.

I really would like some player to help these guys out. That is the whole point of this thread. I had to leave to deal with a death in the family. I did not want to. Some how it seems my slot was somewhat important to them and I would like to see it filled so they can continue and play what was shaping up to be a fun game. That is as blunt as I can be with out a few tears. Call it a matter of principle because I feel responsible.

You can call me names if you wish.

I honestly wonder why you felt the need to post anything in this thread to begin with when you make it apparent you did not want in the game. Unless you just wanted to smart mouth me and my "schpiel" . Expect the same in return. A small dose of your own medicine.

The initial post or my "schpiel" was meant to be funny. I hoped someone would see it that way and grab ahold of the idea and have a little fun with it along the how dare you front. If you do not see the humor in it - I am sorry. Maybe your to keyed up over your rating to relax a little bit and get into the fun of things. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

If you wish to be offended that is fine. Sorry to hear it.

I never said "unfair." I said that 100% to hit is unbalancing and should not ever be in the game. A 100% guarantee of anything is bad for many, many reasons. This is why I do not like Religious Talismans, not because I can not "deal with it."

As for the rest of your post, I think it can be safely ignored.

Had to dredge this one up with a search.

We are still in need of a replacement for a very good role-playing game. The abandoned empire was near the top, perhaps even first place, but the empire owner had to drop for real life reasons. No turns have been processed since then, so no worries about the AI screwing things up. Someone take advantage of this and join up now!

Jeez, does no one wish to take over a first place empire? This could be your great chance at victory!
