I know this topic has come up before, but I just had an odd experience. For some reason, my AOE:TC CD (*gasp* I know, a RTS game http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif ) was in the drive when I loaded SEIV. Strangely enough, the music actually went with the game! It was even more tolerable than the standard SEIV music! Any other game CDs which work for you?

I use my Homeworld CD now. Its really pretty appropriate and even the combat soundtracks are pretty much on target.

I try to listen to music that fits in with the race I am playing. If im playing some sort of slaver empire like my Azlokians or Shrash'ela, I listen to stuff like the Imperial March and the Ur-Quan tune. For my evil race the Jonol, I listen to "goth" music in addition to my all time fav song, One Winged Angel.
If im playing an organic race I listen to the Zerg themes from Starcraft in addition to the Undead song from Warcraft III.
