No you cannot. The fighter stack is treated as one ship for the purposes of applying mine damage. The only way you could do what you are suggesting is to launch 100 fighters one at a time and fleet them. This is extremely tedious though because every time you launch a fighter it automatically is joined to a stack if there is one in the same sector. You'd have to launch one, move it, launch another, move it, etc. 100 times.

Fighters are useless against mines but drones destroy at least one mine per drone.

Why not just build 3 Minesweepers with the Medium Transport hull and 15 level 3 Minesweeper componets each?
If you get to level 4 in mines you only need 2 of these ships....
Mines are so easy to deal with that I've been thinking about changing the setting.txt to allow up to 1000 mines per sector instead of the 100 per default.....

Ok in the stock game, Will fighters take out mines 1 for 1? or will the stack of fighters be damaged/destroyed up to the damage rating of the mine?
In other words can I attack a planet with say 120 fighters and expect to punch through a suspected maxed out minefield?
Thanks
