With all of the unpleasant things going on in the news these days it was refreshing to hear some good news. For those who haven't heard, 15 year old Elizabeth Smart, who was kidnapped from her home in the Salt Lake City area about 9 months ago, was found safe and alive, and her kidnappers were taken into custody yesterday. For once I could smile a little when listening to the news while driving home from work.

What? Good news being reported on TV? What twisted alternate universe are you living in? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif j/k http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Well I thought there was good news everyday cause Australia look like they are going to well and truly win every match of the cricket World Cup.
And cricket is the number two sport in the world (after soccer) cause a billion Indians can't be wrong http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Ok, what he meant was American news. Heck, it's like every news spot these days make it seem the end of the world is coming. Going on 2 straight years of it. Total Kurt Combain mentality producing material, I say. Ok, maybe not quite that bad, but it's getting there.

It's just that all too often you hear a story of some kid disappearing and a fewdays/weeks/months later they find the body. As a father, it warms my heart to see them actually recover the child.
