Are there such things as large machine worlds? i've played a few maps with it and havn't seen them yet, i'm just assuming because there are small machine worlds. Also the irradiated planets, can i change the atmosphere on them, will they stay irradiated or will they become normal planets??

I believe the irradiated planets have the same number of facility slots whether the planet's atmosphere is breathable or not.
As if you need permanent lead-lined domes to keep the radiation levels down.

They are "small machine worlds" because they are small planets. There are no other sizes of machine worlds.
You should be able to change the atmosphere of an irradiated planet, but you can't get rid of the "radiation" because that is a planet size, and has nothing to do with the "atmosphere." Also, non-domed colonies have fewer slots than domed ones do on the irradiated worlds, so leaving the atmosphere alone is often better than changing it. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Considering that, it would be a good idea to leave mixed populations on those irradiated worlds in order to ensure domedness, and get the extra population growth from having two species.

Machine worlds and irradiated planets are 2 separate things. Non-domed colonies on machine worlds are better than domed ones.
