<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">US does this always 1 week later than the "rest of the world" (if there is any... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif ).

Here's a Link. (http://webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/b.html)

Apparently this is the case every year. Since most of us don't know people from other countries except in the forums it's probably never come up in conversation before. Guess we'll have to file this with the other little frustrating quirks like why we have different definitions for "Billion". http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

And just to make things even more confusing when we do change our clocks over here only parts of the country will. (ie not is Saskatchewan and Arizona) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

I guess I'm the April Fool then! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif But I'm a wiser fool now! Thanks for furthering my education!

Should someone give me a diploma or something? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

Did your Windows automatically move your clock forward for you? Hmm, maybe if I change the regional settings in the control panel, it will move the clock at a different date?

That's how I always know when to move the clock: the computer tells me.

One of the few things that "work correctly" plus our secretary http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif always warns me to schedule conference calls with US colleagues accordingly in this week.

I know you are joking, but it reminds me of an older relative of mine. She didn't understand the principle of DST very well. She would complain that she couldn't adjust to losing that hour of sleep every night until the clocks got set back in the fall again. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

I hate DST; it's a useless bit of idiocy IMO.

it's an attempt to make your clock time match up with the day/night cycle, which is different in winter than in the summer.

I am pretty sure he knows what DST is. He was probably refering to it being an unnecessary waste of time and effort, not just some random meaningless system. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

What about "Another heated discussion about DST..." ? Bad sun, never shines when I need light. I am going to send a stellar manipulator... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

I think we should have "weekend saving time" every summer: You set your Calendar back in April so that you get longer weekends until the winter.

More time on the beach=-)

I like Dogscoff's idea! Too bad no one in a position to implement it would ever go along with it... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif
