Yeah i have a question.

Is it possible to give a system the ability to either speed up or slow down ship movement either in or out of combat? For example if i was to make a HYPERSPACE system type could i make it able to hasten the movement of ships passing through it?

And can i make a system deal damage for just being in it? let alone touching its center or using its warp points?

you could probably do that with an invisible nebulea if you couldn't find something better.

probably not proobably.

You can't really do the movement bit, except to give the system random movement.

Give a system a sector-damage ability, and all sectors in it will damage ships that enter the sector.

ah. i was drawing on my knowledge of how to get games to do things there not supposed to. i'm no expert, but i can generally get where i'm going.
