Well, somehow I missed a turn in a PBW game though I swear I sent one in.... Now I'm trying to clean up the mess it made...
One problem, when I open the latest turn file after the stupid AI, it say that I've got outgoing Messages to all the other races I've run into. And it won't seem to let me change them. I can't even tell what the hell they say.
How can I do this or am I royally screwed?
Thanks,
Ken

Well, I'd have to say this is a bull**** bug and a half... Why is there a message sent this turn before I even open the damn file???
If it was sent Last turn when the ****ing AI took over then it would be gone right???
So why is there a ****ing sent message in there now???

You got a good question there. Here is what I suggest. You said this game was PBW right? If so, I'd ask the game owner if he could set the turn back 1 turn and you could play your turn normally. It is the only way I can see to fix this problem. I'm sure others have ideas though.
Oh, and try to keep the language down a notch.

You should probably calm down a bit javaslinger.

The same thing happened to me is a game I am playing with my friend. I found out that the AI had ended my treities and even declared War on some of the other players.
You will probably also find a lot of new ship designs. You may want to check all of your ships and fleets and planets for strange orders.
We ended up treating the event as a "temporary hostile takeover" of my empire.
After having the trators rounded up, tried, and Shot! I returned to Power and spent the next several turns remaking treaties and re-ordering my ships.
Needless to say I really make it a point to get my order in on time!

Isn't there something like a NoAI mod? Sounds like an absoulte must to me http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif After all, missing a turn can happen to everyone, shouldn't be punishable by AI-induced death to the empire.

Good idea.
Javaslinger, if the game is using no mod right now. You should ask game owner to have an PBW admin apply the noAI mod to the game. This prevents most of the AI screw ups.

I create my empire with the following minister option selected - "AI Should not make changes to the empire during a Simultaneous Game".
I do this by loading a game with the empire I am going to use , going into ministers and selecting the Last option on the list and Then saving my empire again.
As far as I can tell I have never had the AI take over like that since I started doing this.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I was of the understanding that the No-AI mod is not neaded anymore becuase of this and originated because this did not used to work (now it does) The annoying thing is that this option defaults to being turned off.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Where do I find that option? For the empire minister styles I only can select "neutral - defensive - agressive".
Edit: Found it. Cannot be set at creation, but during play under Empire Options - Ministers, hidden at the bottom and default not-checked. Never used that tab because I never used ministers.

it can be set before loading your empire up to the PBW. Start a game on your computer with the empire file you are planning on using , set your options and then save the empire again while in the game session.
then load your modified empire file up to PBW
