Are mothballed ships visible to partners and/or enemies? I know they are during combat but I am unsure if they show up in a stack. I did a quick search and didn't find an answer to this.

They are visible. Though the other person doesn't see them as mothballed. They just see the ships.

Unless they use long-range scanners on them.

They are visible but not ****ed in your score, another player able to see your score and see all of your ships may note the difference in numbers.
Maybe mothballing should be equivalent to "run silent" and provide some low level cloaking.
BTW do scanner jammers work on mothballed ships?

I'm pretty sure scanner jammers do not work on mothballed ships.
