Updated DevNull...Non-Gold?

If someone had the time, money, slaves, whatever you need to do so http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif ...could somebody pleeease take the Current Version of Devnull Mod GOLD, and make an alternate Version so SEIV normal can run it? The old Version is great...but I feel like me and all other non-Gold players are missing out on some good stuff http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

i believe it is easily done by hand. You just need to go through the data files and erase all drone designs & tech levels etc. Then launch the game, count the errors and go fix 'em. shouldnt take long.

OTOH im still not familiar with ALL of DevNullGold features and maybe im missing something... anyone?

That was actually the first thing that came to my mind http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/blush.gif - I opened every single text document, and deleted every time I saw 'Drone'. But, it didn't work...got some error Messages about missing stuff, and all the buttons on the opening screen were greyed out except 'Credits' and 'Exit' http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

Maybe there was some other stuff I should have deleted, I don't know...Does anybody know exactly what I have to delete where, in order to get it to work? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/confused.gif

Of course, anyone's efforts to do this for me would be vastly appreciated http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

I am not very familiar with Devnull mod (it is a very good one, just have not much time to play them all), but one way is to trace the changes documented in latest Gold Version and try to reproduce them in non-Gold you have installed.
It might be difficult and not really worthy $45 you pay for Gold http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif Gold has some very nice features nonreproducible in non-Gold !

There might be something else, don't remember now.

All of the error Messages SE4 gives you tell are extremely helpful and tell you exactly what is wrong.

hmm, i have completely forgotten about this. sorry.
No promises, i will give it a try. im not an expert modder (but i have the right knowledge and patience) and i cant promise all features will stay... but ill try.
