I was just wondering if theres anyone out there that already tried this...

Anyone mixed the proportions mod with Pirates and nomads?

Because I like aspects from both mods and didnt want to have to cut and paste... that and i was wondering if its still "playable" after mixing the two.

That would be quite a large undertaking. I'm not even sure if the damage scales are compatible.

Is there anything in particular you are interested in?

I do have a 700kb settings.txt addon to improve the population modifiers for economics and build rate.
http://imagemodserver.mine.nu/OldPirates&Nomads/popmodifiers.zip

Just cut and paste into the P&N settings.txt (don't forget to remove the old pop modifiers)

It may be not that difficult actually if one simply want to add pirates and nomades races to Proportions, not to do the full merge of tech tree !

I hope there are at least a few more things that Xiodos wants from P&N!

Still, the Pirate/Nomadic/Normal traits will require quite a bit of modding to get them in. They have quite a few additional components nessesary for survival, plus components they are restricted from having.

I wish PvK add them to Proportions, but so far he resisted http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

its definetly the nomadic life style that attracts me to pirates and nomads... and to combine that with the more slow progression of proportions, i think it could be an awesome mix.

Again however, comes the huge mixing process... and it would undoubtably have to be rebalanced afterwords...

Actually, there was a mod, called dereks mod, that attempted to combine proportions P&N and Devnull, wish it had been completed... anybody up to the task?

If you don't care about AIs, I could do that in under an hour. But AIs will be the most time-consuming aspect, as there is a lot to take into consideration from all 3 mods. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Derek's mod is a great mod. Tons of fun.

Those monsters really wup up on slow proportions empires.

It'd be great to see pirates & nomads mixed up with this bad boy.

Oh, and FQM too.

Derek's mod is very outdated. All of the mods it is made from have had several new Versions since the Last Version of Derek's mod was made. Somebody should probably work to update it. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
