Why is the total for the years different?
Does this really affect the game or does it all even out?

I have:
Research Points = 125970

Research Order (1)
Shields Level 4
Completion – .1 year
Cost per Turn – 80,000

Religious Tech Level – 2
Completion - .03 years
Cost Per Turn – 45970

Note: Total of 4 years.

Research Order (2)
Religious Tech Level – 2
Completion - ..1 years
Cost Per Turn – 100,000

Shields Level 4
Completion – .4 years
Cost per Turn – 25,970

Note: Total of 5 years

The turns til completion is based on how many points you put into it on this turn. It does not speculate as to what happens next turn when the first project is completed for the time for the second.

Cost Per Turn – 100,000

Thats why. It'll actually even out eventually, its just that with the second set you have 20k less points "spilling over" into the second on the first time.
