David, you've made an excellent tool for modding SE IV Gold, but I have a few requests.
1) a rebuild button
If I make changes in the family numbers of things, they don't restructure imediately. This also occurs if I make changes in the txt files. If I delete an entire row of components (example: I delete Shoe Launcher I till Shoe launcher X, this leaves an empty folder Shoe Launcher in the tree) the folder still exists, this will be put away with a rebuild.

2) an option to change foldernames
When I make a new row of thingies, the name of the folder can't be altered, it depends on the name of the items in it. If I seperate a few items (restructure them, give them new family numbers), they appear under seperate folders in the tree with the name of the family I put them into.

I hope you can implement the changes before I get beack from Poland and the Czech Republic (see B5 thread), but there's no rush. I just hope you could implement them.
Again thanks for this great tool! Two thumbs up for you my man!

#1. Select the current mod from the File menu. This will force the treeview to refresh.

#2 is a bit tricky. The names of the in the treeview are indeed based on the names of the components. If the component ends in a Roman Numeral then these are chopped off and the remainder becomes the treeview heading. (ie "Shields I" is listed under "Shields") If the component hase a roman numeral but the name of it does not end in one then the family number is used. Making it the way I think you want it would mean I would have to store a family name for every component which I think is more work that I want to do right now. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

Aha, yes I see. Thanks for the reply. Well, maybe sometime in the future.
I also figured out the refresh solution, but a simple button would fit nicely too.
Thanks for this tool! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon6.gif
