If I give a planet to a partner, will the satellites orbiting it go along with the gift.
If no, is there anyway to give hime the sats???

EDIT - clarified point.

Anything in an object's cargo will be given to the other player along with the ship/base/planet.

Yes, but sats which orbit the planet. They can't be gifted seperatly as they don't show up on the gift screen. They can't be loaded into cargo as there isn't enough cargo space.

Then no, you can't gift them unless you can put them in something's cargo. If the planet has a space yard, you could build a cargo ship/base and put the satellites there.

You can reclaim the sats with the same button you launch them from the planet with - just make sure the planet is selected and you still own it. No need to burn turns and resources on a ship...

Unless you've read the rest of the thread and noticed that the planet's cargo is full.. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
