I just thought of what may be a cheezy tactic against an AI that defends his planets with drones.
If the ai planet has a lot of drones, would sending in just 1 or a very small fleet of cheap ships make the ai fire ALL it's drones at those targets?
Next turn you could attack in full force but wouldn't have to worry about drones no more.
I can't test this for the moment since i'm at work.
Anybody tried this?

Anybody tried this?<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">There is an option in strategies.txt file "drones per target". Usually it is 3 to 5. That should limit how many drones get wasted.

In my experience the AI does make rather poor use of the drones anyway. He will attack your large fleet over and over again with a few drones that never make it through the PDC.
