Guess what? It works fine! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Straight from the horse's mouth:

The Plague Cured event will cure a planet that is plagued. When it occurs, the game will create a list of all plagued planets that you own. Then it will randomly pick one to cure.

What if you don't have a sick planet? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

If there is no sick planet then the event would do nothing, so no big deal.

But the thing about it being an event is how often will this happen at the right time in order to cure your plagues?

It would of course, still be better to cure to plague with a medical bay on a ship. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Which is why it is a miraculous cure. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Hey, and if it's an event, then you could make it an intel project! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

"The plague on Butukret IX has been cured by operatives of a foreign empire. We suspect the Mysterion Empire of this unimaginable act of mercy." http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

I considered that, but you would only want to use it on an ally, and that would require you to give up your stored points in CI. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

Mind you, that is a fairly big if....

It's a pity there isn't a "good intel" flag for intelligence projects that would allow you to target your own/an ally's empire without disturbing CI - this would be a good application for it.

Yes, in that case their CI is already down. But, what about random plagues? That is where it gets tricky.

I think I will have to add them to Adamant anyways, but it is still a tricky issue. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

I did say it was a fairly big if, and I did use an if ____ then _____ format. I thought I was pretty clear that I was only talking about a specific case; apparently I was wrong about that aspect.

I have an intel project that you can use to cause Plague planets. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif
