Thought I'd try my hand at remaking the Malfador theme music from SE3...

Here's my first attempt. (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newuploads/1058316890.zip)

Yes, I know the percussion is too loud and it sounds like the Klackon battle music from MOO3 http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

edit: oh yeah, and maybe we can convince Aaron to put the tune into SE5 and/or Starfury, it was sooo cool in SE3 http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Why does that song conjure up images of cavemen dancing around a fire in my head? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

I never had SE3, so I have nothing to compare it to. But, it's a small file!

amazing! you have created something with so much tension, nerve-wrackingness and reptition as to challenge even my ability to listen to it indefinitly - and i can listen to lemmings music for hours on end. congratulations! i'm listening to it right now.

Heheheh- from the thread title, I somehow envisioned a whole crowd of Cantina regulars drunkenly standing around a microphone, singing:

"OoOoohh MaAaaAalllllllfaddOooOOOOoORR....!"

*shakes head*
sick imagination you have http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

fine music there, realy reminds me of XCom:TFTD combat music. Also the 2nd concussion sound is useless in there.

You got that too? I thought it was just something wrong with my sound card having too many instruments playing or something... hmmm... maybe I accidentally put two drumbeats at the same time position and they interfere sometimes... it only occurs on half-measure marks, and I used copy-paste from the first measure to get the rest of the measures...

edit: glad you all like it! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

I believe the SE:III intro music is actually from the beginning of a real song, but I cannot remember which one that is, but I've heard it played before.

XCOM TFTD was based off of The Call of Cthulhu.

Since the Wav is available publically from the demo Version, why are you trying to recreate it?

Pop over to malfador.com, download SE3, install, and then grab intro.wav from the sounds folder.
