View Full Version : Building facilities beyond the planet limits

In my Last PBW, I've invaded planets that had more facilities built that the normal planet space would allow. The race that developped them was an organic one. How is that possible ? organic trait ? Advanced Storage Techniques ? high planet utilization tech level ?

You mean, the mod ? (it was a sweet mod game)...

Those planets were not conquered before I took them.

If you scrap one of those extra facilities, you will be unable to build the facility again.

So there is no Tech Area that increase the planets capacity ? too bad...

-Advanced storage techniques,
-Breathable atmosphere type,
-Planet size,
-Cargo facility (according to your level of Storage technology)
All these things increase the cargo capacity of a planet. I've never built a cargo facility that I can remember, but I might if I had some tiny planet in a critical location, and wanted to stuff it full of fighters and weapons platforms.

I recall at tech level 1 the cargo facility stores an additional 1000 space units.

For number of facilities, the only things that matter are the size of the planet, breathable atmosphere type, and whether you have advanced storage techniques. However there are a number of facilities that take up less space for the benefit, such as every "system [modifier]" building and Monolith facilites. I stocked a tiny planet with 5 Monoliths and a Robotics factory, it gave a lot of output.
