FYI, you can stack hydra skin on top of that, and even cast personal regeneration on top of that...and even put a nature blessing on top of *that*. Stacking regeneration is one of my favorites that...

Actually, outside of resistances that's usually not true. Most item effects work by triggering a spell. For instance, a charcoal shield autocasts fireshield at the start of combat so you can't...
