Replacement Player Needed

I'm having to pull out of the Ashadra Galaxy PBW game, due to time constraints. The race I was using, the "Black Metal Protectorate" aren't in a bad position, and are yet to be at war with anyone,...

Re: Babylon 5 Mod

I've attached the current facility.txt to this post, Grumbler. The ones currently in there are mostly copies of the same abilities, just with different values for each race. Like I said, they all...

Re: Babylon 5 Mod

I have a facility.txt that's mostly finished, if you'd like to look it over, Grumbler? Could at least give you some ideas. It only includes facilities for the Narn, EA, Centauri and Minbari, but it's...

Re: Carribean mod

After my, er, real-life battle with... well, real-life, and after re-reading this thread, I've found that I'm still highly interested in the idea, and am going to pick up where I left off with it. I...

Re: Babylon 5 Mod

Well, it was primarily the shipsets, since the AI files are going to be very specific.

Although, what I was planning on doing was cutting out all the pictures (for components and planets, mostly)...

Re: Babylon 5 Mod

Just to give you guys a heads-up about my own Babylon 5 mod that's still in development, hopefully it will be different enough from this one to make it still worth playing.

Primarily, it's...

Re: Carribean mod

Those would be great, Kana, thanks!

I just downloaded the saltydogs shipset, it will need some work to get it looking like real naval ships, but it's definiteley a great start to modify from.

I...

Re: Carribean mod

Thanks, Kana.

I think I'm sufficiently sober enough now to continue. So I'll go and push onwards with that preliminary components file and upload it for appraisals once it's done. Sorry about the...

Re: Carribean mod

Personal life has kicked my face off, so for the next week or so I'm going to.. well, I don't know what I'm going to do. But it won't involve the computer, most likely. This will still happen, I just...

Re: Carribean mod

It's a real shame about the wind. There's always the open sea systems, though.

Boarding Nets for shields - brilliant. I was really stuck thinking of a representative for shields, but now I have...

Re: OT: Halo for PC

It's amazing on the XBox. Haven't seen the PC port though, but I imagine it would be better, what with mouse control. Not sure about the system specs, though.

I would say check out the system...

Re: Carribean mod

Fyron:

That may be the way to go. I'm of the mind that most components would need to be repaired in a port anyway, given the period. As for the crew, I'll see what I can do with it. Some way to...

Re: Carribean mod

The sails components are in danger of becoming a little too overcomplicated, I think.

A better approach might be to have three distinct types of sails: Mainsails (Standard movement), Lateen sails...

Re: Carribean mod

What do you think? Do you think it would work that way? I've been cracking on with the component file this morning, once the first draft is done I'll email it your way, see what you think.

Re: Carribean mod

Also, I've been thinking a lot about crew components. Me? I love crew. I'd love to see more crew in SEIV period. Call me nuts, but watching a battlecruiser take out the life support on my Dreadnought...

Re: Carribean mod

I was thinking about that sort of thing Last night (the large areas of land that destroy ships if they run aground, I mean). I'm not sure how frustrating it would get, but different systems could...

Re: Carribean mod

Sure JLS, sounds good. I'll get started on those in the morning then.

I was also kicking around the idea of remote mining... It might be a good way to represent piracy, other than Intel projects....

Yeah, my initial intent for the grapeshot was for crew killing purposes, I just didn't type it in. Doubleshot has been noted, definitely, and will be added.

If you're still in the market, Kana, two heads are always better than one. It could be the start of a beautiful relationship.

I haven't done a whole lot of work on it yet - I intended to start...
