Re: Strange Soviet OOB omission

http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showthread.php?t=42636&page=3

Has preliminary specs for the three major Aerosan types, did have some very nice icons, too, but they have since gone AWOL. I fussed...

Re: Platoon HQs and some other questions.

I just started a Japanese LC and have found that section quite useful for firebase security. There are so many chinese units running around, it's nice to have something organic to the mortars that...

Re: v5.5 Immobile Tank Transports.

Thanks Andy, I only found it by having a wild hare to do an assault with Israeli reserve units, was going to use the transports to haul my bulldozers up from the deployment zone.
Saw that speed was...

v5.5 Immobile Tank Transports.

Downloaded the new patch, love most of the features, but discovered a little problem. Tank Transports in the following OOB's are immobile (speed=0)

All units are "Tank Transporter" with speed=0 in...

Re: M5A1's vs Panzer 3's and 5's

Look in the AAR section under "Panthers and Popguns" for a similar battle, 10 Panthers vs 2 Stuarts...

Fun, but VERY intense.

The best thing about a plan is that you know EXACTLY what went wrong.

Whenver things are going exactly to plan, you are probably walking into an ambush.

Re: question on Supply trks/depots

Unless, of course, you are taking advantage of some terrain feature that has created a very small LOS shadow. It's rather surprising how many of those 1 hex shadows happen or can be easily...

Re: Weak Spot

Good points, as always, Andy.

A few more:

If I get a good set up, 100 yards @ 90 degrees, I'm not afraid to use up all my ATR shots, hoping for the golden BB. The trick with that, however, is...

Re: Weak Spot

I think experience has something to do with it. I have some elite ATR teams in my long campaign, and tend to buy some more from support. The elite teams tend to make more destructive hits than the...

Re: Changing Support Point Totals in Campaigns

They might resupply at the same max rate, but definately not just as good. Even a little H&I fire incoming will send support units scrambling, even if they are dug in. Veteran units will stick tight,...

Re: Infantry-only Tactics and Help?

Good point on the smoke, though it's surprising how far you can get with terrain masking and judicious use of scout teams popping smoke to cover the main advance.

I completly forgot about the IR...

Re: Infantry-only Tactics and Help?

Not strictly true, long range small mortars like the USAs are great, very high rate of fire & hence suppresion plus you can use them with your troops nearby as they dont kill things often. If you...

Re: Infantry-only Tactics and Help?

If you're playing as US infantry, always bring your mother to the fight. :D

M2s put up on a ridge or hillside are great supression tools, they have a huge advantage in range over the .30 cal...

Re: Bug: The Road to Fallujah scenerio.

Fair enough, just hadn't run into that set of circumstances before. I don't know what you mean about "clearly" however. What I saw was a mixed up jumble of contradictory data.

Anyhow, that's the...

I'll have to look for the site again, but I recall seeing a site with some really good pictures of those rockets in infantry use. Basically they used the same crate for all the missiles, the aiming...
