Ah, right. The XGP has only one turret to complement its two missile ports (which are only useful with guided missiles unless you've got a very careful aim, i'm afraid). I tried to model the ship...

Wings ftw

Wings is very recommendable, in my opinion.
It sports the most intuitive interface i've seen in any 3d modeller to date.
