Reaction Fire Filtering
I know this is really early, but I'm wondering if anybody can tell me just how revolutionary this filtering method is to the game while the enemy has the turn. I plan to find out for myself in another couple of weeks. I also wonder if anybody has seen a marked improvement in the AI reaction fire as a result. I know the player's forces will see some improved play from this, but I do wonder if it will help the AI quite a bit too. If the AI were to use the default of 255 max armor, then that would obviously be one filter that wasn't being used.
Anybody?

Re: Reaction Fire Filtering
OP-FIRE FILTERING is not used by the "AI".

OK, let me clarify this because I did muddy the water somewhat with that first statement.
OP-FIRE FILTERING CAN be used by the "AI" " but ONLY if it is set up in advance by a scenario designer in a scenario or for example... your buddy deploys the AI side for you in a game and then passes it on and you continue on playing Human vs AI .....in that case also he could set up the opfire and the AI would use it. However, the AI will not decide how to set up the opfire all on it's own. That is what I meant the first time.

Re: Reaction Fire Filtering
Can you set OP-fire filtering on the AI manualy, like say in scenarios?
Halstein.

Yes if you design the scenario.
In SPMBT there is my scenario "The Bear Strikes" I am using op fire filtering extensively.

Re: Reaction Fire Filtering
Okay thanks. So all this does is give the human a further advantage. I guess that's not so bad if you wish to re-create suffering from a hordes attack, and your side is the more highly trained, higher quality troops. You just have to make sure and bump up the force size to the AI to achieve something approximating fairness though.
