Questions automation
Can i modify battlecasting other than through scripting? I swear hearing about some way to forbid a mage from ever casting specific spells in combat.
I have aquatic units in water i completely conquered. How do i stop them from wasting my gold? (need mod for that?)
Transfer all constructed units from one province to another automatically so i don't have to load a transport commander then move it then unload it...
Queue orders for commanders mainly to move them long distances?
Automatically have my mages search for sites?
Reoccurring forging like shift-m rituals?
Where is a table of damage-protection DRN averages and other DRN calculations?

Re: Questions automation
Battlecasting needs modding. I think it was Evocation I had the most complaints with on that so I tended to avoid researching that one in the early game.
To "disband" units needs a mod (one was created for that). Or march them to their deaths against a neighboring province. Later maybe use one of the ravel spells to move them someplace more useful, or to a land province so they will die.
Multiple-turn orders are rough to put into turn-based games. But you can use keyboard macro programs the way players in other games to do get around limitations. Record multiple actions to a keypress so that one press carries out the actions very fast.
Auto-Search. You mean like a move/search combo? I dont think so.
Recurring forging also works well in a keyboard macro program.
DRN charts are best asked for on Dom3Mods forum.

Re: Questions automation
Automatically recruit a commander? I can see a macro to do it every turn at the capital. Might be more effort than it is worth for other provs. It would be possible though
All provinces base defense? I think so. A macro to open the F1 screen and set each province if the PD is below the base number

Re: Questions automation
I use AutoHotKey
But its pretty high-end. Almost a programming language itself.

Do you intend to make your scripts public?

Re: Questions automation
Probably not.
I would have at one time but probably not now. Ive lost the motivation and for health reasons my online time comes in precious little batches anymore.
But if you have specific questions, I can try to respond.
One tip that I remember....
when recording mouse actions it is hard to keep the locations the same every time. I play in a maximized window and the first mouse movement is to go way way into the corner (I edit the script to add even more movement that direction) so that all moves after that are uniform no matter where the mouse was when I hit the key.
